Typography 2 taught by Clifton Meador taught me a lot. Clif always wanted us to have fresh ideas and pushed us to make quality work. We were instructed to make our own typeface with rules and consistencies that could be explained. I decided I wanted to make an entire font using the shape of a cowboy boot. Clif told me that would be way too hard, but I was determined to try.
After remaking letter after letter and going back on old rules in order to make new letters fit the font...I finally crafted the perfect s. It was so beautiful with its symmetry and readability that I rewrote the entire system revolving around that s.
