THE PEEL



The Peel Review is Appalachian State’s Art and Lit Magazine. As Creative Director, I was responsible for collaborating with my team (Mason Mccaffety and Eamon Omaille) as well as the editorial board on the production, branding, and advertising of two volumes. Together we ensured both volumes contained press-ready files, correct bleeds, CMYK, and appropriate resolution for every entry. There were ~ 1350 copies of each volume.

Volume 16 was all about letting the submissions have voice over the branding with a limited color pallete , easy to read typography, and a book cover design highlighting the work featured in the magazine.

Volume 17 was the first time the creative team and I had a year to work on one issue, therefore the option to give The Peel a bit of a voice was presented. We went with a bold and scholastic color pallete that worked effectively in the promotional process.
